Steel ball maintenance

If steel balls are not stored properly and are exposed to air for extended periods, especially in humid environments, they will rust within a few days.

If the steel ball has only slight rust, you can wrap it in several pieces of newspaper and rub it back and forth for one to twenty minutes to remove the rust.

If there are many rust spots on the steel ball, you can dissolve laundry detergent in hot water, soak the steel ball in and scrub it, then rinse it with hot water and dry it. Finally, apply rust-preventive oil to restore its shine.
