JM Type Diaphragm Coupling

Product Introduction
This coupling consists of two hubs and one or more thin metal diaphragms. The diaphragms flex to accommodate angular, parallel, and axial misalignment without any moving parts or lubrication. Because the diaphragm absorbs misalignment through elastic deformation, there is no backlash, and the coupling maintains high JM Type Diaphragm Coupling. The material is typically stainless steel or high-strength alloy, which gives it excellent fatigue resistance under cyclic loads. Process
We start by machining the hubs from forged steel. The diaphragms are stamped from thin spring steel sheets and then heat treated for consistent flexibility. Multiple diaphragm plates are stacked and bolted between the hubs. Each coupling is dynamically balanced to grade G2.5 or higher, depending on the required speed.
