Elastic Sleeve Pin Coupling

Elastic Sleeve Pin Coupling

Elastic Sleeve Pin Coupling use steel pins with rubber sleeves to join two flanged hubs. You'll find them on pumps, fans, and compressors – nothing fancy, just reliable.

Product Introduction

The Elastic Sleeve Pin Coupling consists of two flanged coupling halves and several pins fitted with elastic rubber sleeves. Torque is transmitted via the pins, while the elastic sleeves provide cushioning, vibration damping, and compensation for installation misalignment. Featuring a simple structure, ease of assembly/disassembly, and maintenance-free operation (no lubrication required), this product offers a nominal torque range of 6.3–16,000 N·m and a maximum permissible speed of 8,800 r/min. It is suitable for small-to-medium power transmission applications with steady loads, such as water pumps and fans; however, it is not recommended for low-speed/heavy-load operations, applications involving severe shock, or critical systems (like hoisting mechanisms) that demand extremely high reliability. Bore sizes and non-standard configurations can be customized upon request.

Product Advantages

Ease of Maintenance

Features a lubrication-free design requiring virtually no routine maintenance; when the elastic sleeve wears out, replacement can be completed quickly-typically within 10–20 minutes-by simply removing the pins, without needing to move the main body of the coupling.

Vibration Dampening and Protection

The built-in rubber elastic sleeve absorbs 20%–30% of transmission impact forces, significantly reducing system vibration and extending the service life of the driven equipment.

Cost-Effectiveness

A simple structure with fewer components offers clear advantages in production and procurement costs, resulting in a lower total cost of ownership over the product's lifecycle.

Equipment Versatility

Available in a comprehensive range of standard specifications covering shaft diameters from 9mm to 130mm, making it widely compatible with various industrial equipment such as water pumps, fans, and compressors.

Packaging

Anti-rust Treatment and Inner Packaging: Unpainted machined surfaces of the elastic sleeve pin coupling must be coated with anti-rust grease and sealed with plastic film prior to shipment.

Outer Packaging and Securing: Compliant wooden crates or crates/frames must be selected based on the equipment dimensions. Large couplings inside the crate must be secured with wooden blocking or supports to prevent shifting.

Shipping Markings: Clearly visible storage and handling symbols in both Chinese and English (indicating center of gravity, lifting points, moisture protection, and safety warnings) must be stenciled or affixed to the exterior of the crate.

Documentation: The packing list, certificate of quality, and installation guide must be sealed in a moisture-proof bag and packed together with the equipment.

Customization Services

Wide Product Range

In addition to standard 45# steel and cast iron, aluminum alloy or stainless steel options are available.

Structural Design

Designs can be tailored to specific installation spaces and equipment types-such as incorporating a brake drum-making them suitable for drive systems requiring braking functions, such as those in hoisting machinery.

Surface Treatment

Standard black oxide anti-rust treatment is provided; oil coating or painting is also available upon request to enhance corrosion resistance for outdoor or humid environments.

Manufacturing from Drawings or Samples

We manufacture components based on customer-provided drawings or samples, accommodating requirements beyond standard specifications.

FAQ

Q: How do I know when to replace the rubber sleeves?

A: Look for Elastic Sleeve Pin Coupling, flat spots, or melting. Also, if the coupling starts rattling or vibrating more than normal, the sleeves are probably done.

Q: Can I replace just one sleeve?

A: Yeah, you can. But honestly, I recommend doing all at once – keeps the load even and saves you from doing it again next month.

Q: What's the maximum angular misalignment?

A: 0.5 degrees. Push past that and the sleeves will wear out fast, and you might damage the pins. Get your alignment close.
