Dimensional accuracy requirements of rolling mill rolls

For rolling mill grinding machines in aluminum processing enterprises, roll grinding requires meeting a series of stringent dimensional accuracy requirements to ensure the stability of the rolling process and product quality. These requirements include:

Roll radial runout: Generally not exceeding 0.003 mm to maintain roll stability.

Roll diameter difference "taper": For non-CVC rolls, generally not exceeding 0.015 mm to control roll profile symmetry.

Roll profile accuracy: Not only must the roll profile error be controlled within 10% to 20% of a given value, but the axial offset of the roll profile position must also be ensured not to exceed 5 mm, thereby guaranteeing rolling precision.

Matching roll diameter difference: Varies depending on the precision of the rolling mill and the rolled material; a small mating roll diameter difference is required to be less than 0.02 mm to ensure a smooth rolling process.
