How to install a coupling
Preparation before installation:
Before installing the fully closed-loop coupling, ensure all tools and materials are complete. Check that the dimensions of the coupling and shaft bore match, and clean the contact surfaces of the shaft bore and coupling to avoid impurities affecting installation accuracy. Prepare lubricant to minimize friction during installation.
Coupling installation steps:
Alignment: Initially align the two halves of the coupling, using alignment tools to ensure the axes are aligned.
Securing bolts: Gradually tighten the bolts, using a staggered sequence to avoid misalignment.
Lubrication: Apply an appropriate amount of lubricant to the contact surfaces to ensure smooth operation.
Post-installation commissioning and inspection:
After installation, perform a manual rotation test to check for any jamming or abnormal noise. Use measuring tools to confirm the alignment accuracy, making fine adjustments if necessary. Finally, perform a no-load test run to observe whether the coupling operates smoothly.
